Tiara Tahiti

Headed back to the hotel to shower and hit the sack for a couple of hours' rest before the departing midnight flight out of Papeete. I was rudely awoken an hour later by the arrival of another boat, this time honking as it docks. Most of the locals have been relatively friendly and nice, and hardly make any noise around the corridor. However, the honking equates 'yacht' with 'rich and the famous' who's paying a visit to see what he can get. I just couldn't be bothered to pierce out of the window to see what was going on. For a hotel that is smacked in the middle of downtown, close to the airport yet you still have to dish out US$28 for a five-minute cab ride, this place spells expensive with an attitude. I was disgusted with everything that went on here in Papeete. If not for the single reason of transiting upon arrival and departure out of French Polynesia, I would rather kill myself than to stay another hour here.
