JAPAN - IMAGERY TRAVEL

Memories of Kyoto, Nagasaki, Yokohama and Kobe always reminded me of my father. He used to set sail to the ports in his hay days and will come back with stories about oyster divers, pearl trade, the natural hot spring spots and the family-run cuisine houses. I loved to hear his stories. It has provided me with bountiful opportunities to imagery travel without boundaries, the world of stiffly-dressed men in a smoky Yakitori den, a tatami-room filled with sake bottles and rice-wine snacks, a street alley filled with well-groomed dainties in their kimonos. It transported me to a world that I know I can never be part of and hence I was bedazzled.
